St Louis native Jim Greene was first recognized on the NY music scene as an in demand bass player leading his own band The Delegates as well as performing with The Flying Neutrinos, Ron Sunshine and Ian Hendrickson-Smith. Jim later found himself in Nashville playing at the famed Ryman Auditorium and in New Orleans playing alongside musicians like Anders Osborne and Delfeayo Marsalis.
Influenced by folk-rock writers like John Hiatt, Jackson Browne and John Prine, Jim picked up the guitar and began work on his own Americana-steeped album, Out In The Dark, which was released in February 2013. Currently in production is a collaborative project with Irish singer/songwriter Paul Ryan. An EP of their work together is scheduled to be released Winter 2014.
Jim lives in Brooklyn NY where he freelances on acoustic and electric bass.
